Connected Educator Ch 6 summary

Today I will be explaining what I read in The Connected Educator on chapter 6. In chapter 6 it explains that it is very important to build a learning community of the newer generations. Social media has changed the type of communication between one another and has made it much easier for business and work to spread their thoughts and ideas around each other. There is always important business in person but nowadays without the possibility that you can always meet in person sometimes using social media could be much more beneficial. If you are not active on your business profile on social media it could be a downfall because people are possibly trying to use that as a form of communication and not get an answer could go to someone else.

This chapter helps a little with my career in law enforcement because no matter what I will always need to be able to fully communicate and explain things thoroughly to everyone I come in contact with whether it is a good conversation or not so good of one. Communication has always been a very big factor with law enforcement and it will not be going away in the future. But with social media growing so large more and more people will possibly be checking their phone while in the car and driving.

    You explained about newer generation and how they communicate easily now a days its really easy for communications and easy to connect for business person and other works yeah its true because they have many social media platforms which they can easily communicate like twitter and many other. I am also studying in law enforcement and in our field it is very important to communicate with others and listening problems. no matter which conversation is happen. You did Good and authentic work.

    You discussed how the developments in technology and the use of social media can actually be beneficial for businesses and consumers. This is because social media gives businesses a platform to reach potential customers and expand. Although, you also said the lack of involvement on social media can hurt businesses because people may turn to other businesses that are well represented online, rather than them. Finally, you gave an example of how law enforcement is a career in which communication is vital. This summary was very informational and got the point across.

    I completely agree with your statements on social media. It makes it so much easier to spread and share ideas, and constant activity is very important. As a pursuer of graphic design, I heavily rely on social media for inspiration and new ideas, and soon enough, I'll need that same platform to spread my own ideas. In regards to your future profession, it is so very crucial for communication to be as clear as possible nowadays. With that in mind, what do you think is the best possible way for law enforcement to implement their own social media presence? What should they be posting?

The Police Scanner App shows a live feed of police in a certain area that are reacting to calls and information from dispatchers in their locations. Using this app could change peoples views on what police officers have to go through and the calls they get on a daily basis. many people do not know what sort of calls they get but they say that some do not handle some situations correctly, but that is only the ones being shown on television.  This app will be able to help some off duty as well that are told to keep everything on them just in case something happens and they would be capable of knowing where something was happening if they were near it. They would be able to react and see if any officers on duty need help while they are out because when you become a full time police officer you are on duty 24/7 but do not have to always react to calls .
