In Chapter 4 it talks about how collaborating with others is very important, which it definitely is. But, with everything like social media and the coronavirus it makes it harder to be able to get closer to people because the whole world is flipped right now and people are scared to go see and hang out around others. In this chapter it shows how important being connected to one another is especially teachers and people who have to see each other every single day they are working. If you work together and do not get along and like each other both of you will begin to not like the job you have. Any job that people are always working together has to be like this especially in my career where they preach a brotherhood upon everyone there because I will be working more and spending more time with my future brothers in blue than my own family that I will have one day.  Not having a good relationship with your co workers or even friends and teammates will not make it as fun to play a sport or

In Chapter 5 Sheryl talks about needing to have both hands on experience and also have some classroom learning. I agree with this because if you are always doing classroom learning and not focusing some days on a task to become familiar and confident with it then nobody would be ready for the real world when they actually have to do something. A doctor for example if they do not get any practice and have to basically go into a surgery not actually having practice, there is a good chance something could go wrong. Collaborating with others is a very big deal as well because in most fields of work  you have to work with others and you are not just alone in you work, so if you do not have experience with others than it may be difficult for you to adjust to now having people to work with. In my field of work I will be working with people everyday as an officer and even having to interact with many individuals other than my coworkers. The Police Scanner App shows a live feed of police in a certain area that are reacting to calls and information from dispatchers in their locations. Using this app could change peoples views on what police officers have to go through and the calls they get on a daily basis. many people do not know what sort of calls they get but they say that some do not handle some situations correctly, but that is only the ones being shown on television.  This app will be able to help some off duty as well that are told to keep everything on them just in case something happens and they would be capable of knowing where something was happening if they were near it. They would be able to react and see if any officers on duty need help while they are out because when you become a full time police officer you are on duty 24/7 but do not have to always react to calls .

Today I will be explaining what I read in The Connected Educator on chapter 6. In chapter 6 it explains that it is very important to build a learning community of the newer generations. Social media has changed the type of communication between one another and has made it much easier for business and work to spread their thoughts and ideas around each other. There is always important business in person but nowadays without the possibility that you can always meet in person sometimes using social media could be much more beneficial. If you are not active on your business profile on social media it could be a downfall because people are possibly trying to use that as a form of communication and not get an answer could go to someone else. This chapter helps a little with my career in law enforcement because no matter what I will always need to be able to fully communicate and explain things thoroughly to everyone I come in contact with whether it is a good conversation or not so good of o

In the second chapter it was mainly brought to my attention that they were talking about connections and how they work together by sharing ideas with one another about certain things. In certain fields when people work together they can form a greater connection through their work or in other ways people can form connections by being in different fields and learning through one another about their certain field and gain a stronger connection in that sense. Also, being able to connect throughout a community and each other is very important because if you can not connect with your community then you will not be able to help them with such.
